UCSD/PTH 95-20 The Shape of the Renormalized Trajectory in the Two-dimensional O(N) Non-linear Sigma Model

چکیده
The renormalized trajectory in themulti-dimensional coupling parameter space of the two-dimensional O(3) non-linear sigma model is determined numerically under δ-function block spin transformations using two different Monte Carlo renormalization group techniques. The renormalized trajectory is compared with the straight line of the fixed point trajectory (fixed point action) which leaves the asymptotically free ultraviolet fixed point of the critical surface in the orthogonal direction. Our results show that the renormalized trajectory breaks away from the fixed point trajectory in a range of the correlation length around ξ ≈ 3-7, flowing into the high temperature fixed point at ξ = 0. The analytic large N calculation of the renormalized trajectory is also presented in the coupling parameter space of the most general bilinear Hamiltonians. The renormalized trajectory in the large N approximation exhibits a similar shape as in the N = 3 case, with the sharp break occurring at a smaller correlation length of ξ ≈ 2-3. Renormalized Solutions for Strongly Nonlinear Elliptic Problems with Lower Order Terms and Measure Data in Orlicz-Sobolev Spaces
The purpose of this paper is to prove the existence of a renormalized solution of perturbed elliptic problems$ -operatorname{div}Big(a(x,u,nabla u)+Phi(u) Big)+ g(x,u,nabla u) = mumbox{ in }Omega, $ in the framework of Orlicz-Sobolev spaces without any restriction on the $M$ N-function of the Orlicz spaces, where $-operatorname{div}Big(a(x,u,nabla u)Big)$ is a Leray-Lions operator defined f...
متن کاملThree Dimensional Non-linear Radiative Nanofluid Flow over a Riga Plate
Numerous techniques in designing zones happen at high temperature and functions under high temperature are in a way that involves non-linear radiation. In weakly conducting fluids, however, the currents induced by an external magnetic field alone are too small, and an external electric field must be applied to achieve an efficient flow control. Gailitis and Lielausis, devised Riga plate to gene...

This paper presents a model-based control design for trajectory tracking of two-wheeled mobile robots based on Linear Quadratic Regulator (LQR) optimal control. The model proposed in this article has been implemented on a computational model which is obtained from kinematic and dynamic relations of KHEPERA IV. The purpose of control is to track a predefined reference trajectory with the best po...
متن کاملStructure functions of the 2 d O ( n ) non - linear sigma models
We investigate structure functions in the 2–dimensional (asymptotically free) non– linear O(n) σ–models using the non–perturbative S–matrix bootstrap program. In particular the exact small (Bjorken) x behavior is derived. Structure functions in the special case of the n = 3 model are accurately computed over the whole x range for −q2/M2 < 105, and some moments are compared with results from ren...
متن کاملAn Enhanced Finite Element method for Two Dimensional Linear Viscoelasticity using Complex Fourier Elements
In this paper, the finite element analysis of two-dimensional linear viscoelastic problems is performed using quadrilateral complex Fourier elements and, the results are compared with those obtained by quadrilateral classic Lagrange elements. Complex Fourier shape functions contain a shape parameter which is a constant unknown parameter adopted to enhance approximation’s accuracy. Since the iso...
